Specifically adapted for mobility and flexibility, the 5.56x45mm-caliber FN SCAR 15P FDE builds on the FN SCAR heritage with an extremely compact design ideal for special response teams and SWAT. It is offered in the US as select-fire only with a non-reciprocating charging handle and telescoping buttstock. Existing users will know how to operate this rifle, minimizing training time. The overall length of the FN SCAR 15P FDE SBR with a chrome-lined free-floating 7.5-inch barrel is 25 inches and does have a vertical rear Picatinny rail with a QD sling cup. The heart of the FN SCAR 15P FDE SBR is the reliable short-stroke gas piston system that is at the heart of every SCAR. The pistol-length gas system isolates spent gases from the moving parts group, giving you more rounds fired without stoppages. The adjustable low-flash gas regulator and three-pronged muzzle device reduce muzzle flash and are especially appreciated in SBR configuration when firing repeated rounds down range. The FN SCAR 15P FDE comes packaged in a discreet, soft-sided carry case color-matched to the pistol, which makes it easy to move from the home to the range and back.
